Hesto Harnesses is looking for a dynamic and energetic candidate to join Production Department.
Job description

  • Oversees and directs the operations of the production areas to ensure that manufacturing
    operations run smoothly and efficiently, meeting quality standards and production targets
  • Monitor daily production performance (PPM, DDD and SSN) and targets
  • Ensure customer support
  • Ensure the visual management system is maintained
  • Maintain and control stock levels and materials for the plant
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality control, supply chain, and
    maintenance.
  • Drive a performance culture within the department through setting targets and monitoring
    production output against targets
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture within the department to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality through methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma etc
  • Support effective implementation and/or execution of new projects such as the introduction
    of new models
  • Optimize resource utilization and control production costs.
  • Analyse and interpret various reports e.g. manufacturing, stock, customer schedules etc
  • Prepare and/or present various reports at different meetings/forums
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Manage and monitor departmental budget
  • Perform general management functions to ensure smooth running of the department
  • Ensure team have clear performance objectives and development plans in place
  • Motivate, delegate and empower appropriately, enabling direct reports to take responsibility
  • Enhance development through providing coaching and/or other development opportunities

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • National Diploma/B-tech in Production/ Operations Management or Industrial Engineering
    (Essential)
  • A relevant Post Graduate Qualification would be an added advantage
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in Production Management (Manager & Above) role (Essential)
  • 5 years’ experience in a management role
  • Computer Literacy – Strong MS Office (Essential), Syspro advantageous
