Introduction
The Sourcing Group Leader will be primarily responsible for the sourcing of suppliers, sourcing of components for projects and mass production, negotiation of pricing, contracts with suppliers and the monitoring of supplier relationships. This position must ensure that we have meticulous records and that the procurement of all raw materials are done in conjunction with the customer requirements.
Job description

·        Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts. 

·        Manage multiple new projects concurrently, monitor supply chain expectations, and mitigate risks. 

·        Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including identifying new supplier opportunities and optimizing existing relationships. 

·        Responsible for training, mentoring and supervising sourcing staff. 

·        Prepare daily procurement reports, tracking deliverables e.g. Risks

·        Strong negotiation skills are essential for securing favourable terms with suppliers. 

·        Ability to analyse data, ability to read drawings, Inco terms, supply routing, value stream mapping, duty impacts, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make informed purchasing suggestions. Eg. Localisation

·        Manage launch logistics from order to delivery and secure mass production pipeline

·        Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Management.

Minimum requirements

·        Matric (Essential)

·        National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management/Purchasing (Essential)

·        3 - 4 years’ experience in Expediting material International (Essential)

·        Experience using MRP to place orders and expedite (Essential)

·        Computer Literate - good knowledge of Microsoft office (Ms Word, MS Excel and Outlook) (Essential)

·        Knowledge of Syspro and Zeno. (Advantageous)
