Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share for our wiring harness business.
Lead and manage a high-performing commercial team, including sales, marketing, account management, pricing, and contract management personnel.
Oversee the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, ensuring accurate and competitive piece prices are prepared and presented to automotive OEMs and other customers.
Monitor and manage foreign exchange (forex) risks associated with international operations and transactions, implementing hedging strategies and forex risk management policies.
Develop and execute tooling strategies, including sourcing, pricing, and management of tooling assets for wiring harness production.
Negotiate piece prices with automotive OEMs and other customers, ensuring profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
Foster strong relationships with key automotive OEM customers, understand their needs, and ensure customer satisfaction with our products and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, operations, and supply chain, to align product offerings with customer requirements and market demands.
Develop and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the wiring harness business.
Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry dynamics to identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and cost reduction efforts within the wiring harness business.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial roles within the automotive or wiring harness industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing commercial teams, driving revenue growth, and managing key customer relationships.
Excellent strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in RFQ management, warranty administration, tooling strategies and piece price negotiations.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and stakeholders.
