Process Optimization and Improvement
• Analyse production workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
• Standardize critical processes and drive automation and digital transformation.
Team Management and Development
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of skilled process engineers.
• Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and support continuous professional development.
• Foster a high-performance culture of innovation and improvement.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
• Collaborate with the Quality department to maintain compliance with IATF 16949 and other standards.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure documentation and traceability of all process changes.
Cost Control and Efficiency
• Manage engineering project budgets in collaboration with Finance.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality.
• Monitor and act on key process KPIs to drive efficiency.
Stakeholder Communication and Reporting
• Align with Product Development, Quality, and Production teams to achieve process goals.
• Report on engineering project status and process performance to senior management.
• Represent the engineering function in cross-functional initiatives and strategic planning.
Minimum requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required)
• Master’s degree in engineering or business administration (advantageous)
Experience:
• Minimum 8 years in process engineering within automotive manufacturing (preferably harnesses)
• Proven experience in leading process improvement and cost optimization projects
• Deep knowledge of automotive harness production
• At least 3 years in managerial or supervisory role overseeing engineering teams.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Deep knowledge of automotive harness production
• Skilled in CAD, ERP systems, and process simulation tools
• Meticulous attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality
